The political oligarchy misruling Greece today neglects any mention of Hellenic leader Ioannis Metaxas. The Hellenic League of America (HLA) remembers that this was the last independent leader Greece ever had. The Leader had only less than five years to implement the THIRD CIVILIZATION for our people, an ambitious attempt to rebuild national consciousness, by combining ideals of the Ancient Glories of Hellas, and the one thousand year autocracy of Byzantium into a Third Way. Youth in Metaxas’ Greece were like day and night, when compared with what Hellas has today, that is why Greece in 1940 had a fighting force of men and women (Metaxas held men and women in high regard) that came close to our original natural form. If only Metaxas had a little more time he could have reverted our now poor, beleaguered people to their true natural form. Unfortunately, the black hand of British intelligence took this last leader away from us, on the night of January 29th, 1941. With palm raised upwards towards the heavens, forearm stiff, I salute THE LEADER Ioannis Metaxas. MEMORY ETERNAL.
Worth reading today is the leader's Proclamation of the 4th of August Regime:
